ENEMY OF THE STATE

This hi-tech film is considered to be a continuation of the Seventies spy thriller The Conversation, which starred Gene Hackman.

Here, he plays a surveillance expert who helps Will Smith’s framed attorney to escape the clutches of some corrupt government spooks (led by Jon Voight). Directed by Tony Scott, it’s a riveting ride. The script is nothing new, but the interplay between the leads is magnificent.
