Cricket World Cup 2023: England v Afghanistan Sun, Sky Main Event, 9am RUGBY LEAGUE
Farewell Scotland and Australia; hello to four utterly fascinating quarter-finals. First up, Wales take on Argentina at the Stade de Marseille on Saturday (ITV1, 3pm), before Ireland face New Zealand at the Stade de France (ITV1, 7.15pm) in Paris, in what promises to be an all-time classic. Remember: Ireland, World No 1, favourites for the tournament, have been to the quarterfinals on seven occasions. And lost every time. On Sunday, England take on Fiji, who shocked the Wallabies to progress to their first quarter-final (ITV1, 3pm). The Fijians will fancy their chances in Marseille. Later, France welcome defending champions South Africa to Paris in a match that no rugby fan will dare miss (ITV1, 7.15pm). The first semi-final, between the winners of Saturday’s quarter-finals, takes place on Friday (ITV1, 7.30pm). Meanwhile, Exeter
Chiefs take on Saracens on Saturday as the Premiership season begins (TNT Sports 1, 1pm).
England received a reality check in the opening match, losing by nine wickets to New Zealand, but bounced back with a handsome win over Bangladesh. Their next assignment is Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi.
Arguably the match of the week, however, is on Saturday, as India host Pakistan in Ahmedabad (Sky Main Event, 9am).
Super League Grand Final 2023

While the Dragons are in uncharted territory, Wigan are chasing their sixth title. BBC Two has the highlights on Sunday at 5.20pm.
