EFL Cup Final: Chelsea v Liverpool Sun, Sky Main Event, 2pm

Jürgen Klopp’s long goodbye begins at Wembley, as Liverpool take on Chelsea in the final of the EFL Cup (kick-off 3pm). The Reds have a chance to reward their greatest Premier League manager with the first silverware of the campaign ahead of his departure at the end of the season. This match is a repeat of the final in 2022, when Liverpool triumphed 11-10 on penalties following a 0-0 draw. In the Premier League, Arsenal face Newcastle on Saturday evening in a major test of their title credential­s (TNT Sports 1, 7pm). On Monday, the FA Cup fifth round begins as National League South side Maidstone United – the lowest ranked team in the fifth round since 1978 – visit Coventry City (ITV4, 7pm). On Tuesday, Blackburn Rovers host Newcastle (BBC One, 7.30pm) and Luton Town face Manchester City (ITV1, 7.30pm). Manchester United play Nottingham Forest on Wednesday (BBC One, 7.30pm).

England face India at the JSCA Stadium in Jharkhand on day two of the fourth Test. Bazball broke (unwanted) records again in the third Test, returning England’s largest defeat by runs since 1943. The tourists are 2-1 down in the five-match series.

Ireland fly-half Jack Crowley Sat, ITV1, 1.25pm

Italy. They now face a Home Nations run-in as they aim to claim a second successive Grand Slam title – a feat not yet achieved by any side in the Six Nations. At the opposite end of the table, Wales are yet to record a win, having suffered narrow losses to Scotland and England. Later in the day, Scotland take on England at Murrayfiel­d (BBC One, 4pm). Scotland have triumphed in each of the last three meetings, while England have taken victory only once since 2018. On Sunday, France host Italy to decide the destinatio­n of the Giuseppe Garibaldi Trophy (ITV1, 2.15pm).
