HOW TO LIVE AN EDITE

-

GETTING STARTED

You don’t have to write your thoughts and feelings down Dear Diary style, but I do think that it’s a good idea just to have a moment of reflection on where you’re at right now.

Lock yourself away for a 10-minute sit-down, or go for a walk and think about where you’re currently at in life, with work and in your home.

What areas of your life do you feel need a shift? What aspects are bringing you down?

From my experience it’s worth listening to your answers and beginning by working on the elements that you’re excited to apply yourself to and returning to those you’re not so willing to shift later, when you’ve got a bit more fire in your belly thanks to the previous positive changes you’ve made. chance of procrastination and physical clutter getting in the way of tasks that you actually need to complete.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Always. Aim to live with an edited amount of highquality possessions and goods that are either used often or add value to your life in some way.

STOP. BUYING. JUNK

In the same vein as the above, make purchases that are based on your needs, instead of wants.

TREAT YOURSELF

Occasionally, but try to unplug from a constantly consuming lifestyle.

PLANNING IS KEY

Not only do well-thoughtout plans help to spur us on to think about the bigger picture, they also make it easier to structure realistic and attainable goals that, when ticked off, make us feel like we’re actually getting stuff done.
