TIPS FOR PICKING ROSES

-

Pick roses early in the morning and then sear the stem end in boiling water for 20 seconds. You can strip the thorns, but I often don’t bother.

After picking, plunge them up to their necks in cold water. Add a mini slosh of bleach or a pinch of bicarbonate of soda to make them last as long as possible.
