JAMES BLOOR’S TREEHOUSE
TIPS
Choose your tree carefully. Make sure there are no dead branches. Avoid ash trees. The disease ash dieback is killing ashes and making them unsafe.
•
The boughs of an apple tree are often the perfect shape to hold a tree house. Don’t screw bolts into a tree, you’ll damage it.
•
Go to a builder’s merchant or saw mill to see what materials they might be throwing away.
•
Don’t design a Wendy house. Think adaptable space that with solar lights and big cushions can change with the kids, from imaginary fort or club house to teen retreat.
