SOW SEEDS from TOMATOES
The seeds from your supper salad toms are enough to fill your greenhouse and to spare. Choose fully coloured tomatoes, ideally overripe, then scoop out a teaspoonful of pulp and seed and spread it over a sheet of kitchen towel.
Leave on a bright windowsill until the pulp has dried away. Then lay the kitchen towel, with seeds attached, on to compost in a seed tray.
Cover with more compost, water, then keep in a propagator or on a sunny windowsill and you’ll have seedlings to pot on within a few weeks.
