Who has noticed that Joan Collins’s astonishingly well-preserved appearance may partly be due to hats and wigs? Here she is with Jane Seymour, 70 (Joan is 87), both of them in big hats. It does make you think that plenty of brim volume is flattering to the slightly older woman, as well as offering sun protection. As you probably know, the character of Moira in Schitt’s Creek never leaves her motel room without either a substantial wig, a striking hat, or both – and in real life the actress who plays her, Catherine O’Hara, now looks denuded and wispy without either.
