Excellent all rounders
These varieties did well in a pot and in the ground. i ‘Beauregard’
A well-known variety (above), with huge, rich coral-coloured tubers; each plant produced tons. This was the stand out performer with a harvest of 4.3kg per plant.
h ‘Bonita’
White tubers, large, prolific, some the size of a coconut. From a yield point of view, this came out second in the trial, but with its pale colouring, it does not look so delicious (more yam-like). h
In a container this was a whopper, with excellent yield and huge tubers. The reddest of all, with an almost ‘Desiree’ potatolike colouring.
