Three FAVOURITE Silent SPACE GARDENS
1 Waterperry Gardens
A permanent feature here, Silent Space is a peaceful spot in the Formal Gardens watched over by Nathan David’s sculpture Girl holding the Lamp of Wisdom.
2 Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens
One of two spaces here, the Chelsea Garden area by Darren Hawkes is a series of slate platforms overlooking a pond with dragonflies and a majestic willow.
3 Acorn Bank
This year’s space at the National Trust property is a clearing looking across fields towards the Pennines. Listen to woodpeckers, and imagine the nearby drift mine in its heyday.
