Who is punching the air for joy that I’m not super rich like Nick Candy, who has just put his One Hyde Park penthouse on the market for £175 million? Don’t you feel rising panic when you read about this lot and what passes for normal? The five-bedroom apartment with the champagne room, the wine room, the cocktail bar, the martini lounge (one of those is made up but who could say which, it’s all so bonkers). What do you have for lunch if you’re Candy Class? And then where do you eat it, off what, wearing what? Who could cope with that level of pressure?
