Note that the outpouring of grief at the death of Helen McCrory was partly to do with her marriage to Damian Lewis? We don’t know much about either actor but one thing we pride ourselves on is sniffing out a good couple, and those two were securely embedded in our top-five list. We also award special points to couples in the public eye who defy the odds (months spent apart/dangerously attractive fellow workers), sidestep multiple temptations, refuse to succumb to the ego fanners, and generally make a point of living uncomplicated happy lives. We just knew in our guts they were one of the really good ones.
