Anti-racists’ plea to West Ham

Anti-discrimination campaigners have called on West Ham to act over alleged links to the Democratic Football Lads Alliance after a supporters’ group official became the latest figure to be connected with the group. Greg Smith, a representative on the newly-formed official supporters’ board, has expressed support for the group condemned by antiracism campaigners just weeks after it emerged Mark Phillips, an under-18s coach, attended a march with them. A spokesman for Hope Not Hate, an anti-racism group, said: “We hope the board at West Ham treat this very seriously.”
