Hooli­gans head to Copa fi­nal

A group of around 500 hard­core hooli­gans from Ar­gentina is ex­pected to make the trip to Real Madrid’s Bern­abeu sta­dium for to­mor­row’s Copa Lib­er­ta­dores fi­nal sec­ond leg be­tween River Plate and Boca Ju­niors. Around 4,000 se­cu­rity per­son­nel will be de­ployed – nearly dou­ble the num­ber used in Cla­sico matches against Barcelona. The game has been moved to Madrid af­ter fan vi­o­lence caused the post­pone­ment of the re­turn in Buenos Aires two weeks ago. Boca play­ers were in­jured when River fans at­tacked the Boca team bus with rocks, bot­tles and wood. The first leg, played in Buenos Aires, ended 2-2.
