Warrington’s Tonga international, Sitaleki Akauola, who was banned for the 2018 Challenge Cup final, will miss this year’s semi-final through suspension.

The former Penrith Panthers prop was handed a two-match penalty notice by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel for a dangerous tackle on Salford loose forward Tyrone Mccarthy during last Friday’s 22-12 home defeat by the Red Devils. Warrington have decided not to contest the grade C charge so Akauola will sit out Sunday’s Super League game at Castleford and the cup tie with Hull at Bolton on Saturday, July 27.

Meanwhile, Hull KR fear losing recent signing Matt Parcell for the rest of the season after he sustained a shoulder ligament injury during Friday’s 32-16 victory at parent club Leeds. Huddersfield will be without experienced prop Paul Clough for up to six weeks after he broke a hand in his side’s home defeat by Catalans Dragons last Friday.
