6 Bernd Leno

Guilty in Tottenham’s first goal for parrying into Eriksen’s path, but redeemed himself with some good saves, particularly from Son.

6 A Maitland-niles

Combined well with Pepe and offered an attacking threat on the overlap, but it meant he vacated his position, which Son exploited.

5 Sokratis

Guilty of poor positioning for Tottenham’s first and seemed vulnerable every time they countered.

5 David Luiz

Caught out of position for Eriksen’s goal, like Sokratis, and susceptible to Tottenham counter-attacks.

6 Sead Kolasinac

With Maitland-niles bombing on, maybe Kolasinac should have stayed back a little more. Let himself down defensively.

6 Luca Torreira

Industrious in midfield and tenacious in winning back the ball, but overshadowed by Guendouzi.

8 Matteo Guendouzi

Important in winning back possession, tested Lloris with a snapshot and capped an impressive display with an assist.

5 Granit Xhaka

Assured on the ball for the most part, but he needlessly lunged at Son in the box and gave away a penalty. He was punished for it.

7 Nicolas Pepe

A promising display. Forced a save and assisted Lacazette’s goal in the first half, but tailed off after the break. Encouraging.

7 A Lacazette

Contributed to build-up, dropped deep to facilitate Pepe and Aubameyang’s runs in behind and took his goal superbly.

8 P-E Aubameyang

Arsenal’s biggest threat. Neither Sanchez nor Rose could cope with his directness and speed. Ghosted into the box for equaliser.

7 Hugo Lloris

Reliable when called upon and made a number of decent saves in. Had a moment of madness in the second half.

5 Davinson Sanchez

Played out of position and never looked comfortable against Pepe or Aubameyang. Poor clearance led to an Arsenal goal.

6 Toby Alderweireld

What would Tottenham do without him? He made the most clearances of any player and was generally assured.

5 Jan Vertonghen

Not the best return to the team. Mostly dealt with whatever Arsenal threw at him, but was beaten by Lacazette for the first goal.

5 Danny Rose

Like Sanchez, he struggled to deal with Aubameyang and Pepe and did not offer his typical attacking threat.

8 Harry Winks

Another excellent performance. Calm in possession and disciplined positionally. His pressing led to the penalty.

6 Moussa Sissoko

A competent defensive display and he effectively regained possession, but his performance lacked runs from deep.

6 Erik Lamela

His shot led to Tottenham’s opener, but contributed little beyond that. Rightly taken off after an hour.

7 Christian Eriksen

What a difference he makes. Offered a consistent counterattacking threat with smart passing and great awareness.

7 Son Heung-min

Another threat. Spent most of the game waiting for passes in behind, but made the most of them. Won the penalty with tricky feet.

7 Harry Kane

Not hugely involved, but his penalty was unstoppable and he was reliable when called upon. Inches away from a second.
