for some more guidance when we land.” Rob Horsfallturner

“This is a once-ina-lifetime trip for all of us and the dream is now over. We weren’t on a package deal so we have nothing to fall back on, absolutely gutted. We found out just after we got to our accommodation, we thought it was a joke until we checked the websites. We feel that World Rugby has made this call very early – I’ve never known a weather forecast to be right before!” Matt Nolan

“I was at work on Tuesday and a colleague mentioned the typhoon. I thought it was a wind-up! We left on Wednesday and knew the risk to the game was real. We are meant to fly back on Sunday and will have a great trip but I am so disappointed not to see any rugby when moving the match forward could have got the game on. There seems to be no consideration to the fans. Nothing to guide us from England or World Rugby, it is not on.” Gareth Lazell

“I’ve received no support as a fan and it’s unclear how to get a refund. Fortunately I’m over here for another week after the game so hope to find out then. I’m still travelling to Tokyo tomorrow as planned and will sit out the storm. It’s disappointing contingencies to move or reschedule the game aren’t in place.”

Paul Selby

“I won my trip through a competition for my rugby coaching. Gutted not to see the game but just reminds us of Mother Nature’s strength. Just feel really bad for the fans and families who have paid all that money for tickets, flights and hotels plus taken time off work.” Liam Dunseath

“I’ve had a tremendous tour and was blessed with plenty of rugby, however the England v France match was one of the main reasons I planned the trip of a lifetime the way I did. I will head home back to Seattle with a sad and sick feeling I couldn’t watch the match I was most looking forward to. I’m most disappointed that with such a fast-moving storm, the match could not be moved to another date with a full week until the QF’S. I’ll never get over this one.” Tyler S
