Napier heads to Chelsea

Chelsea have further bolstered their ranks with the signing of Hibernian midfelder Jamie-lee Napier until 2021. The 19-year-old, who received her first senior Scotland call-up in August, scored 22 goals in 33 games this season for Hibs. Napier’s arrival follows the news that Australia captain and Ballon d’or nominee Sam Kerr will join Chelsea when the mid-season transfer window opens on Dec 27.

Chelsea, currently second in the Women’s Super League, two points behind Arsenal albeit having played a game less, travel to strugglers Liverpool tomorrow for the final round of fixtures before the winter break. The league recommences on Jan 6.
