Bayern must shackle PSG

If Bayern can control Paris St-germain’s attack, then they will be the favourites. But that offence is so good and fast, with experience and some special players. I am not usually a fan of Neymar, but when he played against RB Leipzig, I saw a team player and a leader. Normally, he would think about himself, but the Neymar I saw against Leipzig was the Neymar I like to see. If he plays like this more often, then he could become the best player in the world. Bayern will also have a problem with the PSG midfield. The German side must have better control over PSG’S attacking players than they did against Lyon. If they can, I’m sure they will win.

Pressure on Kimmich

When everybody is available to Hansi-dieter Flick, Joshua Kimmich plays as a central midfielder, a No 6. He is usually key for Flick, but Benjamin Pavard has been injured, so Kimmich has moved back to right-back. He can play in both positions at the highest level, but when Pavard is fit, Kimmich will move into the midfield again. I think Neymar will come in on the left, on Kimmich’s side. Kylian Mbappe will interchange with Angel Di Maria in the central positions and on the right flank of PSG’S attack. PSG have these players who can make a difference, including Mauro Icardi from the bench.

Strength in depth could be key

Flick will find the right plan and the right system. He has so many options at his disposal, which you could see against Lyon. After 70 minutes, Lyon were growing into the game and creating a couple of chances. Then Flick made four changes, bringing on Philippe Coutinho, Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso and Pavard. After that, the match swung back towards Bayern and they took control. The quality of the players on the Bayern bench is amazing, and it is so important for the coach. If he ever feels like the team is a little bit tired, then he can make these changes.
