-

Catalans Dragons strengthened their grip on top spot in the Betfred Super League coming from 14-10 down at the interval to beat Hull 31-16 in Perpignan.

Tom Davies scored two of Catalans’ five tries while coach Steve Mcnamara’s son Ben played a starring role in Hull’s stern resistance to the league leaders before the Dragons pulled ahead late on. “I didn’t watch him as much as my own players,” said Mcnamara Snr. “It’s such a strange situation for me to be in.”

Salford completed the double over Huddersfield with an 18-12 victory at the AJ Bell Stadium – Rhys Williams, Tui Lolohea, Jack Ormondroyd the try-scorers for the winners. Hull KR ran in tries from Albert Vete, Rowan Milnes, Ethan Ryan, Kane Linnett and Jez Litten as they beat Wigan 26-14 while Leeds blew away Leigh 46-10 with eight tries, two of them coming from Tom Briscoe.
