Maciek Kaminski

Kaminski’s physician parents emigrated from Poland to Redwood Falls, Minnesota, in 1967 when he was eight. He studied biology and physics at the University of Minnesota.

Kaminski gained prominence in investment circles in the late 1990s, when he started the Kaminski Poland Fund, which at the time was the sole Poland-only investment fund in the United States.

John Thornton

Yale-educated director of the Global Leadership Program at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

He is executive chairman of Barrick Gold Corporatio­n, a non-executive chairman of Pinebridge Investment­s and serves as a director of the Ford Motor Company. Thornton stepped down as co-president of Goldman Sachs in 2003.

Michael Klein

A graduate of the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvan­ia, Klein is managing partner at M Klein & Company. His reputation was built during a long career as a member of the leadership of Citigroup, where he was CEO of the investment, corporate and commercial banking businesses globally.

During the global financial crisis, he served as the special adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
