A pioneer in redefining the way we shop, Dover Street Market (which is no longer based on Dover Street) does a total overhaul of the store every six months. Not only does it revamp the look and feel of the interior, but it also draft sin its favourite new designers for the season ahead. For autumn/winter, additions include stalwarts Calvin Klein (right, now with Raf Simons at the helm) and Lanvin, as well as fledgling brand Blue Roses, S ensi Studio and Marc Al ary ;18-22 Haymarket, London SW1.
Leigh Miller ’s jeweller y is most definitely sculptural. There is more than a nod towards Henry Moore, a hint of Barbara Hep worth and an affinity with Jean Arp. Organic forms and natural patterns are transcribed into metal, which is hand-hammered in Miller’s LA studio. The pieces look as perfect with a white tee and jeans as with a gown. Look to Jean Shrimpton to learn how to navigate summer style in the city. A suede jacket will add polish to a flippy cotton dress or provide texture if you prefer classic pieces, is the per fect cover-up for nippy night s, and will see you through the transitional weather well into autumn.
