The London outftter carving a new niche
The Mayfair store of distinguished motoring outfitter Connolly is dotted with covetable homewares handpicked by Isabel Ettedgui, wife of the late founder of fashion store Joseph.
Her latest discovery is the Dorsetbased sculptor Joel Parkes, who makes exquisite vessels (such as the bowls above) and furniture from reclaimed wood – often tree trunks that are too large to fit through conventional processing machines. In store now are side tables fashioned from a London plane tree and finished with pewter.
