The London outftter carving a new niche

The Mayfair store of distinguis­hed motoring outfitter Connolly is dotted with covetable homewares handpicked by Isabel Ettedgui, wife of the late founder of fashion store Joseph.

Her latest discovery is the Dorsetbase­d sculptor Joel Parkes, who makes exquisite vessels (such as the bowls above) and furniture from reclaimed wood – often tree trunks that are too large to fit through convention­al processing machines. In store now are side tables fashioned from a London plane tree and finished with pewter.
