Max Büsser’s singular brand MB&F (Maximilian Büsser & Friends) fuses horology, hi-tech and toys to create ‘out there’ one-offs, from flying pens to clocks that mimic the engineering of a spacecraft. The Swiss house brings that inventiveness to its latest collaboration with high-end specialist L’epée 1839 to create The Fifth Element, a clock and weather station with thermometer, barometer and hygrometer. It looks like something from sci-fi, but takes inspiration from the Victorian fashion for weather-forecasting machinery.
