Stepping out in loud florals, this blooming bunch are far from being wallflowers

The Daily Telegraph - Telegraph Magazine - - Wildlife -

IT’S SPRINGTIME, so expect to see images of flowers adorning the clothes of many women – and a few men too. Floral prints truly are the hardiest of fashion perennials, returning year after year. Why flowers, I wonder? There are so many other options in the vast and characterful world of flora, including nutritious and delicious fruit and veg, such as butternut squash and raspberries – why not a picture of those? Then there are the aggressive, serial killer-y types, such as Venus flytraps. Much more striking than tulips. That said, as seasonal symbols go, April flowers are far more welcome than April showers.
