Before his death in November 2017, Azzedine Alaïa personally approved the finishing touches on a new shop on London’s Bond Street. Maison Alaïa, the brand’s first flagship store outside of Paris, offers couture, limited editions, ready-to-wear collections and accessories over three storeys – not to mention furniture and art installations chosen by Mr Alaïa and friend (and 10 Corso Como founder) Carla Sozzani. Consider it a new temple in which fans of the exacting designer can worship his flippy-skirted dresses, heels and handbags. 139 Bond Street.
