LADY ALICE MANNERS, 23
Pedigree Telegraph columnist, personal shopper and one of the Duke of Rutland’s three daughters, nicknamed the ‘bad-manners sisters’ for their late-night partying and dancing on tables.
Previous form She adores horses. Spent her childhood riding bareback around the grounds of family home Belvoir Castle on a Shetland called Lizzy. Until recently lived in rural Shropshire with her boyfriend Otis Ferry, a huntsman, and spent days galloping over the country and jumping gates.
Odds Dark horse of the competition. Says her swashbuckling Shropshire years made her fearless ‘up to a point’. Other riders should watch out for her naughty streak. As a child she often pushed her sister Eliza off their Shetland. ‘She went straight down Lizzy’s neck like a slide,’ she says, laughing.
Remarks ‘Everyone says because I’m skinny and horsey I should race but I’m a complete rookie when it comes to fitness. I’ve never been healthy… So at least now I go to the gym!’
