Burberry’s new Ital­ian chief creative of­fi­cer Ric­cardo Tisci is keen on Bri­tish her­itage. Upon ar­riv­ing at our flag­ship fash­ion house in March, he de­cided al­most im­me­di­ately that he wanted to col­lab­o­rate with a par­tic­u­lar UK fash­ion leg­end. ‘Vivi­enne West­wood was one of the first de­sign­ers who made me dream to be­come a de­signer my­self, and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the per­fect op­por­tu­nity to ap­proach her to do some­thing,’ he says. The re­sult of their col­lab­o­ra­tion – plat­form checked heels, mini kilts and draped shirt­ing – launches on Thurs­day. From £55, burberry.com.
