On stage at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, Sir Elton John commented on her excessive drinking, to which she replied, ‘F— off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me.’
Tweeting about Courtney Love after a row at the NME Awards: ‘I would never fight with her, as a rule I don’t pick on crazy old ladies.’
Allen tweeted a photo of Rupert Murdoch and Nigel Farage at a garden party alongside the host Evgeny Lebedev, owner of the Evening Standard, with the caption: ‘Hope I’m not sitting next to Voldemort or Fromage. I might be sick.’
She tweeted about Britain’s post-brexit chances in the global economy that, ‘A Global Britain could be good, but the world still hates us cause, SLAVERY.’ She later deleted this.
Allen tweeted, ‘So disappointed in this government, but no longer surprised by them and their disregard for human life… Air strikes in Syria without parliamentary approval should be cause for concern for everyone.’
