-

A student project taught by Polly Waite of Polliander Studios (polliander. com) 1. The chair is stripped back. New webbing and springs give the desired shape. 2. Coir fibre is stitched in to create an even seat. 3. The coir is covered and hand-stitching creates firm edges. 4. The seat is covered in wool wadding and calico. The diamond formation for the buttons is drawn on to the back hessian. 5. The back is covered with wadding and calico to create the final shape. 6. To finish the chair, handmade buttons and the top fabric are attached.
