Pastures new in Central Park


A four-acre section of New York’s Central Park (right) has been “rediscover­ed” after being lost to nature in 1934. The Hallett Nature Sanctuary was allowed to become overgrown as an enclave for migrating birds, but park authoritie­s have now tamed, renovated and re-opened the area to the public as part of a $40million (£28m) scheme.
