Pastures new in Central Park
A four-acre section of New York’s Central Park (right) has been “rediscovered” after being lost to nature in 1934. The Hallett Nature Sanctuary was allowed to become overgrown as an enclave for migrating birds, but park authorities have now tamed, renovated and re-opened the area to the public as part of a $40million (£28m) scheme.
