DIEGO LUNA MY LIFE IN TRAVEL

I ALWAYS LOOK FOR the quietest corner on the planet where I can just be still for a while, if I’m going on holiday on my own. But if I’m with my children, it is all about exploring new places and entertaining them.

THE MOST UNIQUE SUNSETS can be seen in Tulum on the Caribbean coast. Last summer, I took my son and daughter on holiday for just over a week to Punta Mita, a fishing village on the Riviera Nayarit, in Mexico, before we went to Tulum.

THERE’S A DIFFERENT ENERGY and wilderness about the Pacific coast of Mexico. Everyone’s usually all about the Caribbean coast when it comes to Mexico, but I really love the beaches along the Pacific Ocean.

I CROSS THE BORDER between Mexico and the US two or three times a month. My children live in Mexico City so I travel back and forth to wherever my work takes me. I regularly visit California and New York City for work.

MY FAVOURITE CITY in the world has to be Mexico City. Every time I go back I realise how lucky I am to be in such an incredible, bustling and vibrant city.

IT IS ESSENTIAL to sit and stare contemplatively at the sea. It is the perfect antidote to the craziness of big city life.
