VISITING UZBEKISTAN TO GET EASIER
From Feb 1, travellers from 45 countries – including the UK, but not the US – will be able to visit Uzbekistan without a visa. It follows the introduction of an e-visa system in 2018.
Tourist visas have been tricky for UK citizens to obtain – requiring applicants to complete paperwork and send their passports to the country’s London embassy. The new waiver is good news for anyone hoping to explore Samarkand and Bukhara.
