The Daily Telegraph - Travel - - FRONT PAGE -

In the mid-19th century, when whale oil was king, this windswept speck in the Atlantic was the richest dot on the map. It slipped into obscurity when electricity came, but now it’s back, an exclusive hideaway for the super-rich: tech titans, hedge-fund tsars and movie moguls. The cobbled streets of the Old Town evoke Dickensian London, just with better boutiques and bars, while Siasconset on the east end side recalls Gatsby.
