ABOUT THE PROVIDER Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa (bedfordlod­gehotel.co.uk) in Newmarket, Suffolk, was built as a hunting lodge for the sixth Duke of Bedford in the 18th century. The four-AA-RedStar hotel sits in three acres of secluded, landscaped gardens next to Newmarket’s paddocks and horse-racing training stables. It features 80 luxuriousl­y appointed bedrooms, a superb two-AA-rosette restaurant, a stylish bar and a health suite with a 50ft indoor pool, Jacuzzi and gym.
