WINDSOR CASTLE June 15th The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning visited Runnymede on the occasion of the Eight Hundredth Anniversary of the Sealing of Magna Carta and were received at Runnymede Meadows by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad), The Duke of Cambridge, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Dyson (Master of the Rolls), the Rt Hon David Cameron, MP (Prime Minister), the Rt Hon Philip Hammond, MP (Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Member of Parliament for Runnymede) and the Mayor of Runnymede.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge and The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, listened to a choral performance and speeches delivered by the Master of the Rolls, the Prime Minister and the Archbishop of Canterbury and met representatives from organisations associated with the event.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, RN, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

A Service was held in St George’s Chapel this afternoon.
Detachments of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and the Military Knights of Windsor were on duty.
