Captured on film Shocking images of shooting during live broadcast

1. A video shot by the gunman shows Alison Parker and Adam Ward in his sights as they conduct a live interview on a balcony of the Bridgewater Plaza shopping centre. The second image shows the same scene as filmed by Ward’s camera.

2. Flanagan stands close to the trio for around 20 seconds without them noticing him. Then he begins shooting, firing eight bullets at Parker and Ward.

3. Both Flanagan’s camera and Ward’s fall to the floor amid the gunfire. From the floor, Ward’s camera, still broadcasting live, captures the image of the shooter himself.

4. The channel’s broadcast then quickly cuts back to the studio, where the anchor is visibly shocked.
