Couple jailed for brutal attack on builder
A former police officer and his wife who attacked a builder in a row over work have been jailed for three years.
Robert Symons kicked and punched Jeff King in the street and Jenny Turrell stabbed him in the neck with a screwdriver as a passing driver and her 10-year-old son watched in horror.
A court heard the dispute began when the pair refused to pay him for work. Mr King retaliated by causing £20,000 in damage to their house.
Mr King suffered a puncture wound. Symons and Turrell, of Swanley, Kent, were convicted of unlawful wounding at Canterbury Crown Court.
