Marco Pierre White’s wife on assault charge

-

THE estranged wife of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is to appear in court charged with attacking two men, aged 20 and 21.

Matilde Conejero, 51, faces two counts of assault, believed to have happened last September at flats in Chiswick, west London, where she and eldest son Luciano, 22, have adjoining homes.

Police were alerted to a row last September. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “We were called to an altercation. Someone made an allegation of assault.”

Miss Conejero, known as Mati, is due to appear at Uxbridge magistrates’ court in west London on March 7.

She married White in 2000 but filed for divorce in 2007 on the grounds of his unreasonable behaviour.

Proceedings were withdrawn in 2011 after legal bills hit an estimated £3 million.

The couple separated again in Octo- ber 2012. Their other children are Marco Jnr, 20, and Mirabelle, 13.

Three-times married White, 54, was the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars, when aged 33, and the first British one.

He “retired” as a chef in 1999 and has gone on to run a string of renowned restaurants in London, as well as appearing on television, writing cookbooks, advertising stock cubes and advising a cruise line on catering.
