Unpasteurised goat’s cheese recalled
Neal’s Yard Creamery has recalled batches of its unpasteurised goat’s cheese over fears about a bug that can cause flu-like symptoms, sickness and even meningitis.
The Food Standards Agency announced a recall of the “Hay-onWye” goat’s cheese in 80g packs with a “made on” date of May 18 2016 and a “best before” date of June 20 2016. The agency said they were contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The company has provided point-ofsale notices to all stores and market stalls that were supplied with the product.
No other Neal’s Yard Creamery cheeses are known to be affected.
