Fringe fun

The 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme was officially launched on the city’s Portobello beach yesterday. This year’s theme is Defying Convention and the festival this August will feature more than 3,000 shows in nearly 300 venues across the city. With performers from 48 countries, it promises to offer something for everyone with events to include theatre, dance, circus, comedy, music, cabaret, children’s shows and exhibitions.
