JK Rowling names and shames spoiler website

She pre-warned fans to “keep the secrets” of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Now, JK Rowling has taken to naming and shaming those who disobeyed her and published details about the West End production.

Rowling accused one website of being “Wormtaily”, after one of her characters who betrayed the secrets of his friends.

Warning her Twitter followers to avoid the site, she said: “So, reaction to first preview was ... wonderful. Feedback is fans really do want to #KeepTheSecrets for each other’s sake. #DontBeWormtail.”

Many fans, however, were left conflicted, saying they were desperate to hear plot clues after failing to get tickets. The storyline will be officially revealed to the public on July 31, when the script will be published in a new book. The entire plot has already been posted online on fan websites and forums.
