Lukewarm sales for McDonald’s
McDonald’s said a “positive” performance in the UK helped to lift international sales 2.6pc in the last three months, outshining disappointing growth in its American restaurants. The food brand said currency moves meant overall quarterly revenues fell 4pc to $6.3bn (£4.8bn), while net income was down 9pc to $1.1bn, missing forecasts and sending the US firm’s shares more than 4pc lower.
