SIR – Many years ago, as an inquisitive teenager, I constructed a VHF receiver that allowed me to access the local police radio network. Today there are frequent reports of young people who have penetrated a supposedly secure computer system (“Teenage hacker in data breach at TalkTalk was ‘just showing off ’ ”, report, November 16).
