Top Gear’s celebrity car to be auctioned

The last “reasonably priced car” used by Top Gear during Jeremy Clarkson’s time on the show is to be sold.

Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman and Tom Hiddleston were among the celebrities who were timed driving the red Vauxhall Astra around the show’s test track.

After Clarkson was sacked from Top Gear in 2015, following a fight with a producer, the modest Astra was returned to Vauxhall, which has now decided to auction the car for charity. It will be sold without reserve at Coys London sale on February 18.
