Thread of hope

Newlywed Tess Newall, 29, has appealed for help after her antique lace wedding dress went missing. The garment, which she wore in June, dates from 1870 and had been in her family for five generations, but it is feared to have been sold after her dry cleaner, in Edinburgh, went into administration.
