Twins are the new must-have for every celebrity couple

The Clooneys have just announced their happy news

Congratulations to Amal and George Clooney, who are the latest stars to announce that they are expecting twins. Beyoncé and Jay Z will soon become proud parents to two more babies, and Madonna has just adopted two four-year-old girls from Malawi. All of which is wonderful, as long as it doesn’t become a thing. You know, a trend.

I can see the style magazines already. “Why you need twins in your womb NOW… and how to get them!”, featuring the best positions in which to conceive two babies (also: eat yams. Apparently, that works).

Let’s hope that as well as failing to look amazing during and after pregnancy, us mere mortals are not now also a disappointment if we only manage to pop one baby out.

Always remember: children are a gift, not an accessory.
