Ambulance flies to wrong island 120 miles away
An air ambulance called to the aid of a baby on a remote Scottish island went to the wrong one 120 miles away.
Instead of flying to Orkney, the aircraft, which carried an incubator, flew to Shetland. The Scottish Ambulance Service is investigating the “extremely unusual occurrence” last Friday night, adding that the child was safely transferred to Aberdeen, treated and has returned home.
