Trump date

Emma Thompson has said she once turned down an offer from Donald Trump to stay in Trump Tower and have dinner with him. The actress told a Swedish TV show: “He asked me out once.” She explained she was in the US making the 1998 film Primary Colors (right) when Mr Trump phoned and said: “I think we would get on very well.” She said she had not met him, but joked: “I wish I had, think of the stories.”
