Zubeida Malik explores the varied stories of Muslim soldiers fighting for the UK during the last campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are currently fewer than 600 Muslim soldiers in the British Army. Malik speaks to those currently serving about why they signed up and what their experiences have been. She also explores the story of Lance Corporal Jabron Hashmi, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2006, and recounts the foiling of a horrific plot to kidnap and behead a Muslim soldier in Birmingham.
